This is my Family Xmas Card for 2011.

Overall, I think it’s about 6 inches long, and again, designed to be an ornament for the tree.

The angels represent the two family members we lost this year, my aunt and my mom. </3

Crafty Juices are Flowing

I made a Mother’s Day card for my sister (my godmother), similar to the one for my mother.

Then last night I made a 3×2 bead band necklace (Ukranian-style).  It’s just the band for a swag necklace, but I’m diggin’ it.  🙂

I’ve already had 3 people ask me to make them one too. 🙂  So, I shall be a bit busy.  May even try different bead colors as well.  😀

Crafty Juices are Flowing

She’s Crafty (and so is he!)

Been kinda dry on the creative juices lately, but I was able to pull a few things out yesterday.

Made a card for my mother for Mother’s Day.  It was my first attempt at a “busy/collage-type” card.  I’m actually quite pleased with it.  I used some toile paper (I LOVE toile!), some lace paper, stickers, paper flowers, ribbon and pearl beads.

My son made a card for my mom (wiht some help).  We used some pre-cut card stock (kit I bought at Target, cuz I liked the vibrant colors), some Becky Higgins paper and a sticker.  Simple but sweet. 🙂

AND my son made a scarab paperweight in his social studies class.  They were studying ancient egypt and made them out of flat rocks, paint, markers and felt.  Funnily enough, my mother loves scarabs (jewelry, but don’t tell Jake), so he decided it would be perfect for her for Mother’s Day. 🙂  I hope she likes it!

Well, that’s it.  Hopefully I will have more creative goodies to share soon!

Creative Catch-Up!

I know, I know.  I’m a slacker.

Get over it.

I did quite a few crafty tidbits over the holidays, but I couldn’t post them because they were gifts.  And the gift recipients have access to my facebook and blogs, so…

BUT, the holidays are over and now I can show you all how creative I am!  😀

I made two ornaments for ornament exchanges:

A glass ball filled with odds and ends and a Western themed one.

Glass Ball Ornament

Western Ornament

Then, I made Christmas cards:

2010 Christmas Cards

I’m sorry, but I can’t figure out how to have the image post here and not just the link.  Hopefully, I can figure that out later and fix it.

DragonWillow – Halloween Cards 2010

I actually made Halloween cards this year!

Woot!

Those took me FOR-FREAKIN-EVER to do!  And they shouldn’t have.  My Xyron 510 decided to be a butt and ruin more than half of my batch of skeletons before I could use them.  And they took so stinkin’ long to cut out (Cricut cartridge “October 31”) that I was NOT amused.

This one was SO simple.  Skeletons are just way too scary for babies, so I made this one special for my nephew (he’s only a year old).  Quick and easy to cut out.  I just LOVE the Cricut! (again, “October 31” cartridge).
