Via Flickr:Peacock just outside Grounds for Sculpture.
I had the pleasure of doing a couples photo shoot for a friend and his fiancé at Grounds for Sculpture. I so appreciate their patience and I thank them for giving me the opportunity to practice. Not long after we hopped out of the car, we spotted this peacock nearby.
This is the third pic for LJ’s 100 Snapshots, List 1. 97 more to go!
Happy National Ice Cream Month! Now go make and/or eat some ice cream!
Chocolate-Peanut Butter Ice Cream (adapted from The Perfect Scoop by David Lebovitz)
2 cups half-and-half
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 cup smooth natural peanut butter
Whisk together the half-and-half, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Heat mixture, whisking frequently, until it starts to foam up. Remove from heat and add in the peanut butter. Whisk until blended.
Chill mixture thoroughly before adding to ice cream maker.
A friend of mine discovered three rusty, crusty, old trains on the side of the road and thought it would be great to come back and take a few shots of them. Since they were sitting here in public on the sidewalk you were free to hop up on them if you pleased. I passed as there was way too much rust and they were falling apart. This shot ended up being one of my favorites.
For a while now I have been watching a community called 100 snapshots. The purpose is to take 100 photos each fitting one of the themes (based on your interpretation) on the list given in the blog. I like taking photos from time to time so I thought it would be a great idea to participate.
Here is the first photo for the theme RUST.
